Minninglow is a hill in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. In this photo it is the small clump of trees centre, distance. Within the clump of trees crowning the hill are a Neolithic chambered tomb and two Bronze Age bowl barrows, dating back to approximately 3500BC. I had wanted to do this walk for years but the hill is on private land. Recently I discovered that the owner had opened up a permissive path and access was now possible. The day of our walk was grey and dull with rain showers, the previous day had been lovely sunshine but that's the way it goes.
